For months now Rachel has been in search of a sock monkey, but Rachel being Rachel, this could be no ordinary run of the mill sock monkey. So we were in search of something unique & special deserving of a place in our family. Unfortunately, no such sock creature seemed to exist.
So today, Rachel decided that we should make our own silly sock creature. Here is what she came up with...
Sock Creature making is serious business & not for the faint of heart. You need to be willing to take chances, stick your fingers up the creatures back side & not be too squeamish about needles.
It was a challenge...it was fun...& we have a fabulous new member of our family.
Here is our dilemma...we are unable to find the perfect name for out little buddy. So Rachel thought it would be a great idea to post him on my blog & see what our blog friends come up with. So if you have a suggestion please post it here in the comments. We will then choose from the names submitted.
Feel free to share our request with your blog friends. The more name ideas the better!!
Thank you for your help...we know he won't be nameless for long!!

The moment I saw your new family member the name MORRIS popped in my head... I sure wish you success in finding the perfect name for your new friend!!!
I was thinking "earl" would be quite fitting, he looks like an earl.
I'm going to post a link on my blog for you, I wish you much luck in the name adoption for Mr. Sock!
He's totally cute by the way, reminds me of a BlaBla doll, here

I'm thinking Blinky.

Nana

How about Polonius? Somewhat silly and vastly profound character from Hamlet.
How about Henry? I don't know it is so cute!
You did such a great job with your sock guy! LOVE that! I showed my family and they came up with some suggestions....Big Louie, Goofy Gus, and Saulie. I'm sure you'll come up with just the right name.
I think he looks like a Max or maybe a Myles?

I think it looks like a Nargle...
Tee hee!!

How about Milo?
Love the colors! I thought of Zippy. Here are a few more suggestions from my kids . . . Rosie, Ziggy-Boo-Boo, or Sockie. :)Can't wait to hear what you decide! :)
I think a good name would be along the lines of something Seuss-ish--completely made up! That being said, I have no clue what an actual name could be. But I will say that that creature is so adorable! Great job Rachel!
Wow! I saw the lovely addition to your family and said... that's Cyrus! Cyrus the Sock MONKEY!!!
Poor monkey must be having a horrible time not having been fitted with his own name yet!
At first I thought of Cuddles. Then I thought Zorg - not sure but I know I totally want one of your creatures Rachel!!

Hi Ms Grace and Rachel, thanks for dropping by my blog and complimenting my sock monkey.
I think Rachel's is much better though, he's unique.
But as for a name? Hmmm, I'm not good with them, which is why I just number my monkees.
How about Nigel? (you see?? I told you I wasn't very good!)
